While Lee Jeans is s an easy-to-wear brand that lives and breathes classic, casual comfort, British designer Vivienne Westwood is hardly concerned with what’s “easy”… unless of course you’re looking for the easiest way to stand out and make a statement. Fuse the two iconic brands together in a collaboration of epic proportions and you’ve got yourself a rather confusing yet intriguing culture clash that’s either too cool for the Average Jill to pull off… or perhaps just plain unwearable (personally, I’m still deciding). Vivienne Westwood Anglomania for Lee Jeans boasts everything from denim to wacky splatter-print dresses, in-your-face acid washes.
It’s perfect for the girl who’s trying to look rebel-chic while simultaneously looking like she hasn’t had to try at all (it’s normally a highly-coveted, rarely achieved look to perfect). Streamlined skinny jeans get roughed up with distressed crushed velvet and rocker-inspired shiny brocade, while shirt dresses get the purposely sloppy treatment with an interesting approach known as “drunk tailoring” (you have to see it to believe it). While the collaboration is readily available (and relatively reasonably priced) on Asos are you bold enough to rock these edgy pieces?
XOXO,
