Just a quick update on the fashion PR firm that was emailing me late at night and became increasingly annoyed when I asked her not to email me at ten thirty PM. The head of the firm emailed again the next day. I opened her email thinking she was going to apologize for her rude comments. Wrong! She emailed me to let me know I was “out of her data base” and never apologized for her nasty comments about me “sleeping with my computer” or for annoying me late at night. Mind you, I don’t even know her!
The interesting thing is.. that so many of my fashion blogging friends “knew” exactly who I was talking about. Many said she was emailing them relentlessly late at night, as well. I think as fashion bloggers we need to let any firm that does not respect our wishes, know this is not acceptable. Mostly all of the fashion PR firms that I have dealt with have been amazing, helpful and respectful. It is rare that you find one who is so obnoxious that they insult you (Are you serious about late night emails? Do you sleep with your computer?) for making a reasonable request. I had so many personal emails about this firm “bugging” bloggers late at night.
I feel liberated that I’m no longer receiving her late night emails about the Kardashian’s or anybody else. My blackberry is no longer buzzing all hours of the night! I’m so relieved that I spoke up (which I seldom do) and was so excited when I went to my gmail and I was officially off her list. Yay!!!
