Although Giuseppe Zanotti’s purple booties may be our latest “lust-have” (our newest phrase) they are extremely difficult to walk in and trust me….we’ve tried. The heels are too high and skinny for us, making balance a real task. Gisueppe Zanotti, are you trying to put my ankle in a cast? In our fashionable opinion the booties really belong to the young and trendy! Given the extremely high price tag….the over indulged, too!
We’ve labelled these shoes “tote-bag booties”. They’re booties we leave in our tote bag til we need to walk. Here’s the sequence….We leave the house in flip flops. We take the booties out of the tote bag and slip them on when we arrive at our destination. We walk slowly into the place trying to stay “a foot” in the booties. We thankfully get seated and later in the evening walk back to the car and happily put the booties back in the tote bag! Yay….the comfy flip flops go on! We couldn’t even think of wearing these during the day….strictly evening!
We do love the color and the styling of Zanotti’s Suede Open Toe Booties. They work amazing with (last season’s) our fave fur. The boots feature a covered suede heel, a huge platform and a side zip closure. We think they’d look oh-so chic with Lanvin’s simple Draped Merino Extra Fine Knit Dress and Roger Vivier’s Patent Clutch.
The booties are very cool but the days of wearing something just to look good are over! That’s why we were so excited when Isabel Marant introduced this season’s suede high tops…comfy! (that had to go back cuz we looked ridiculous in them, too) If these boots are your latest must-have….click the link to indulge. If you’re older, chic and edgy and can walk in this ever-so high heels than go for it!
