Yes, I wrote about this shoe in June. It’s still being featured this season and it’s giving me shoe nightmares. I feel the need to address this shoe again.
Am I missing something? I know the booties appear to be missing the heel but I’ve been told by loyal Campbell “wearers” that the shoe is very easy to walk in. Jeffrey Campbell’s Shadow Shoe in Black with the silver studding still mesmerizes me. I think it looks more like a weapon than a shoe.
My biggest fear wearing these shoes besides falling or tripping is staggering into someone and cutting up their leg or the reverse.
Supposedly, there’s a 7 inch invisible heel…but who would want to look like they’re about to topple over? Given the 3 inch platform as well as the intense studding detail….these are just “look at me” booties. They are too over-the top edgy. Hmmm, I wonder if the hang tag says…Do Not Consume Alcohol When Wearing These Shoes. That could be a devastating combination!
Campbell’s Studded Booties are considered fashion-forward. What does that mean? One step forward and you fashionably fall on your butt, or smack into someone else causing them great pain and possibly (one or more fashionistas) requiring stitches or ruining an expensive pair of Wolford tights? As I’ve stated before…I’m an older fashion blogger but still hip and trendy. I just don’t get this look… booties with spikes. Will someone please explain this look to me? Click the link to indulge!

I would be happy to explain Jeffrey Campbell’s Studded Booties to you. They are part of Lady Gaga’s Halloween costume.
