A Few Goody Gumdrops is excited to scoop about the whimsical collaboration between Jimmy Choo’s designers and contemporary artist, Rob Pruitt. We’re sharing four exciting pieces of “wearable art” that are featured in the collaboration. We especially love how the animal prints are depicted in these designs beginning with the Diffuse Zebra Print Glitter Sandal, the Anouk Zebra Print Pump with the pointy glitter toe, the leopard print Tickle Patent Boudoir Mules with the zebra print glitter heel and marabou feather pom-pom and the Wheel Leopard Print Pony Slippers. These four incredibly fun styles are sure to glam up any outfit. (coordinating handbags, too) Each pair of shoes are packaged in a bright pink box with bright pink dust bags and sealed with an angel or devil panda sticker. Pruitt explains, “The opportunity to step out of the studio and to work with two brilliant designers who are at the top of their game, nothing could be more exciting.”
The slipper has become the comfy shoe to own, the mule…great for wearing around the house with a sexy nightie, the pump…incredibly fabulous for an evening out and the sandal…so cool for your next vacay! This collection is fun and unique with a Disneyish feel. We think collaborations bring out the very best in designers. Remember how successful the Jimmy Choo collaboration with UGG boots was? (two years later we’re still traipsing around the city in ours) If you’re like us and wear a ton of all black, these pieces add the perfect touch of PIZZAZZ to any of your outfits! You can have so much fun matching your nail polish and lipstick, too! Alternate black and white polish on your nails for a real trendy look.
The clutches featured are the Sweetie, Candy, Cayla and Filipa. These are the perfect evenings bags to wear alone or with the matching shoes. Easy to carry and easy to pack for your next cruise! The Candy acrylic clutch in the zebra print is so us! (second bag featured) We’re sure you know our love for animal prints!
“We are really excited by the collection as it reflects everything that captivated us about collaborating with Rob Pruitt: his energy, use of colour and the festive exuberance of his prints and materials. There were elements in his work that reminded us in subtle ways of the Jimmy Choo design iconography. The collaboration has yielded collectible pieces that are highly original, integrating both Rob’s sarcastic wit and Jimmy Choo’s iconic glamour.” Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway.
