Donna Karan has been a favorite of mine for years! This collection
like so many of Karan’s are about movement, draping and luxurious fabric. As Karan says in the video the clothes are all about movement of the body, celebrating the movement of a women’s body, her angles, her curvaceousness, her independence whether the fabrics are velvet, suede or skin on skin. Although many of Karan’s pieces are dramatic looking they’re incredibly wearable for daytime or evening.
The colors featured in the collection are basic…grey, camel, brown
and black. We love Karan’s black puffer.It’s already on our must-have list.
She certainly achieves movement, freedom, and what we called “flexxy”….clothes that have both flexibility (they move with you) and sexiness! Many of the pieces remind me of her drapey body suit style from years ago.Karan’s flowing cape is stunning. Only DK could make a cape that’s wearable, flowing and gorgeous.
