I’ve come to love and own bags that I can get a lot of mileage out of. I also love exotic skins and bags with simple embellishments. These bags DO NOT fall into the category. I’m totally shocked at Nancy Gonzalez’ latest bags from her spring collection especially the Bright Purple Crocodile Flower Clutch with crocodile flowers piled all over each other. I literally want to rip the flowers off the bag. I personally have no interest in carrying tropical plants and flowers on a handbag.
The Crocodile Small Yellow Palm Tree Tote (with palm tree appliques) is playful but for the most part these bags are busy and totally distract from what could be a simple elegant bag. Maybe Gonzalez was going for whimsical look but in my eyes she missed. These bags are over decorated and the flowers “overgrown”. I hate when a designer takes a luxury skin bag and makes a total mess out of it. If these bags are for you click the purple links to indulge. This garden needs a major pruning!
