Remember the adage: what’s old is new again”. Hard to believe but the grunge-inspired look is back, and it’s fiercer than ever. This look is definitely not for everyone. Who would’ve thought our favorite super grungy jeans/short tattered denim skirt combo sold out within two days of being featured….happily, it’s back in stock. I feel like I’m pretty much in this look a lot without even trying. It’s a comfortable hanging around look with lots of holes, tattered jeans, 90’s inspired plaid shirts, oversized pieces….an overall beat up look. The shearling leather coats have a grungy vintage style which works just as good with jeans that you already own. (You may not want to overdo an entire grunge look) Most pieces in the line work with “non-grunge” clothing you already have in your wardrobe. I like being relaxed and this style completes that look. The only look in this grouping I’m not fond of are the sweaters with the holes. At my age, I’d look like I caught the sweater on a door or hook….numerous times. (I do this anyway!)
Below we’re sharing some of these offbeat pieces. I totally love the long jean skirt overlay with the ready to unravel hem over the jeans as seen above. Very cool and wearable. What do you think? Is this look for you? Maybe one or two pieces? The long cowboy plaid shirtdress and the punk tank are easy wears.
