It’s the season for wedding wear and we all know how the task of dressing as a guest can be a little troublesome. If you’re not in the entourage do you match the theme? Wear black? Wear white? (No. Absolutely don’t wear white.) Make an effort to stand out? The questions can be pretty endless. Nonetheless, once you find the dress the rest should be pretty easy. The only next trouble is looking for the perfect shoe to go with. At a recent event I was speaking to a friend who needed fashion advice, asking me which type of shoe is best for her as a guest, to wear with a sexy purple number. Without hesitation, I said, “Nude pump!” And nude shoes (whether it’s strappy, a pump, etc.) just isn’t for weddings. It’s for any fancy occasion so you won’t just buy it for one date, you’ll be wearing its worth multiple times. I hate to say it, but black pumps are going out of style.
Celebrities are already wearing it all over the red carpets and at the swankiest places. Nude footwear slims and elongates the legs and since it’s such an amazing neutral, it can go with any color from yellow, to purple, to black. For the best results, I would pick one that is as close to the skin tone as possible.
