Mother of pearl textures are so, so aesthetically pleasing. But why? As you contemplate the contours and mirrored opalescence of Eddie Parker’s Flavia Geo and Jean Geo clutches, you may feel a bit of magic, mystery and general “aliveness.” Not to get too over top about it, but there is something transcendent and even spiritual about the shimmering mica lacquer.
The Jean Geo features a diagonal stripe pattern of blue, turquoise, and deep emerald as well as silver and gold tone hardware. The interior is mica bedecked as well and comes with a large built in mirror. The Geo clutch features horizontal mica stripes and pearlescent ocean and amethyst colors.
The Flavia Geo clutch also resembles (in some fashion) the WMAP telescopic probes highly publicized picture of our universe at age 3 minutes. One can easily imagine the little shimmers and swirls of pearlescence to be pictures of distant galaxies filled with trillions of stars, peering towards us from billions of light years away.
