I’m still enjoying summer even though fall clothing and accessories are already on the loose. I’ve always wondered why that happens. You’re on the beach still invested in summer enjoying the heat, and you’re looking at chunky knit sweaters and warm cashmere coats in magazines and stores. Ugh…in my book. Hard to look at wool of any kind in the summer. Believe me, it’ll be cold soon enough, and you’ll be wishing for summer clothing! My biggest (no pun intended) summer accessory is the floppy straw hat. Very cool to wear a big floppy hat to the beach or pool as it actually provides protection for your face. With the size of some of these hats…it’s like having a personal umbrella. These hats have their own personality aside from being fun and totally cool. I especially love the one with the light blue brim and the white embroidery “Head in the clouds“. Duh the perfect saying for me! I’m sure you’re still into summer and if so, why not wear a strikingly chic hat to the beach? How about the straw hat with the feather and parrot motif? Last year I bought the hat “Do not disturb” embroidered in black sequins, and it’s still my very favorite and part of this season’s collection. For a softer more feminine look the straw hat with the crinkled chiffon bow is perfect. “Fiesta, not siesta” with the pink embroidery is so cute. We can’t forget “Wish you were here” with the blue sequin embroidery for those who are working and dreaming of digging their toes in the sand! Ready to own a Eugenias Kim sun hat? It can be so stressful finding a spot on the beach…just push your big floppy hat right in there and make room for yourself! Anyone from NYC reading this???
