I’ve always dressed on the edgier side and would definitely love to wear a tiny earring in my nose if I wasn’t well over 50. Given that scenario, I’m not wearing the mini hoop earring in my nose, but I’m wearing a line that I wore years ago and still obsessed with…..Comme des Garçons Comme des Garçons. This line has always been in a “cool” cutting edge class of its own. While other designers were presenting fairly classic trousers (trying to be funky), Comme des Garcons featured pants that were so edgy you had no idea what season or year they were from. That was great because you could wear them for season’s to come and no-one noticed what “decade” they were from. The current 2016 AW collection holds true to form…casual yet cool-sophisticated vibe. I will admit a few pieces have that “schoolmarm” look which doesn’t appeal to me as seen in the (weird) navy pleated pinafore dress.

My first ultra-funky puffer was Comme des Garcons and I still have it.
The look featured here is minimalistic, no embellishments, monochromatic and a stylish mix of Comme des Garçons Comme des Garçons look and style. “Introduced in 1993, the Comme des Garçons Comme des Garçons line furnishes staple women’s styles introduced in the main collection: polka dots, unorthodox tailoring, hole-punctured knits, and pleated skirts and jodhpur trousers.” The Comme des Garcons, The Commes des Garcons Girl and The Commes des Garcons Play (not my fave) are all worth taking a peek at.
