GoFundMe: Lunch For Our Heroes on the Front Line
Last year, Betsy Brown and Linda Sternberg joined forces to launch a GoFundMe. The goal? Deliver lunch and dinner to the frontline workers giving it their all at Boston hospitals. Initially funded by Betsy and Linda, this effort quickly attracted the attention of generous donors. With this impressive level of financial support, Betsy and Linda were able to bring tasty meals to the brave medical staff members at several facilities in the Boston area.
It’s been over a year since COVID changed life as we know it. Likewise, their GoFundMe has been around for over a year. During that time, support has remained strong, making it possible to increase the original goal. Now, the campaign is poised to reach its added goal of $35,000. They have reached close to $60,000 through different outlets and delivered 32,0000 lunches.
The health care workers impacted by this initiative have made it clear that it’s made a difference — so profuse thanks go out to all those who donated or spread the word.
