What’s all the fanfare about? It’s about sambas and collaborations.
adidas is best know for its high quality products, exceptional comfort, the classic iconic three stripes label and their endless style. I will be discussing their newest looks and reimagined pieces that add timeless and fun style to your athletic wardrobe. We are fascinated by the unique collaborations between adidas and well known designers.
My puffer vest which provides warmth, comfort and functionality is a Moncler collaboration with adidas. Note the collar with the black stripes. This stands out as an incredible collaboration. The vest comes in shiny black, army green and red! The puffers are just as sensational.
adidas is increasingly becoming known for its exciting statement collaborations and new collections with high-end companies such as Balenciaga, Prada, Gucci, Pharrell Williams, Stella McCartney, Bad Bunny, Moncler, Y3, Wales Bonner, Richard Minsi and the list goes on. Their three stripes logo is always embedded in the collections they have collaborated with. Although the standard three stripes were white, now adidas includes navy, red, black, pink and green just to name a few.
I will be sharing of few of the collaborations I love and will be enjoying for many seasons to come. A recent collab with Wales Bonner’s take on the sambas features the long awaited cheetah sneakers. Bonner’s cheetah and black sambas are finished with pony hair. All these cool twists and turns make these the sneakers to own.
We were waiting patiently for the sneakers by adidas HUMANRACE and Pharrel Williams. He’s an American record producer, rapper, songwriter and amazing vocalist. The khaki samba with the light blue stripes and the exaggerated flap are undeniably unique just like Pharrell. Must say… they look great with my slouchy jeans!
I love the casual adidas look complimented by their sneakers and running attire. One of my all time favorites from years ago were the black and white sambas. They were first introduced in 1950 by Adi Dassler as a soccer shoe. Recently they’ve updated the collection with an array of different color sneakers and different color stripes but the original black and white sambas are the same from years ago. They’re popping up everywhere! This past season I bought a pair of the black sambas and a pair of white which I haven’t taken off.
My ankles need the most support, but good arch support makes it possible for me to keep doing what I love – running, exercising, and working out at the gym – with increased balance and stability.
I live in hats no matter what season it is. I especially adore the adidas/Balenciaga beanie. Definitely will be the biggest part of my daily wardrobe. Works great with my adidas sweatshirt and leggings. Balenciaga is one of my favorite designers. They never disappoint.
The reintroduction of the sambas incurred a huge wait list. This speaks to the old adage “what’s old is new again”. Many adidas lovers were hunting them down.
All the collaborations have been met with tremendous success and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to see the next ones. We’ll be waiting with bated breath to discover who the next designers are and how they’ll spin their ideas with adidas. We have our thoughts in mind while anticipating how cool these collaborations will be!
I’m sharing last year’s very cool collaboration with adidas and Richard Minsi which I continue to wear all the time. You’ll note the signature white stripes on the leopard leggings.
XOXO,
